Schneider Electric Telemecanique

In 1924, the French Telemecanique was born. Telemecanique invented their first contractor and from thereon expanded their business. Quickly they became one of the best known providers of products and solutions for industrial control and automation. In the 1960’s Telemecanique started opening subsidiaries in countries all over Europe and the United States. Africa, South-America and Asia were added in the 1970’s. During this period they started developing mini computers used for CNC machines. In 2009 Telemecanique and all their products and services where migrated to the large Schneider Electric brand. The group today employs over 144 thousand people.
